Vince hails from Palawan, the Philippines' last ecological frontier. A bachelor's degree holder in petroleum engineering, he decided to pursue a graduate degree to further his knowledge about energy systems. Vince is a believer that sustainability is an integral tool to combat climate change and that a just transition to a sustainable energy future is a must. He is currently interested in sustainable energy development and energy policy and is planning to pursue a thesis about life cycle sustainability assessment of power generation systems. He spends his free time reading books, articles, and reports, binge-watching movies, TV series on Netflix, and drinking his favorite iced coffee using "kapeng barako" grounds from Batangas province.
