1. Time allotment
-
You have 20 minutes to present your paper.
-
Time allotment per presentation will be strictly observed. To keep you on track with the time, the moderator will monitor the time and will signal “5 mins left”, “2 mins left”, and “STOP” when appropriate.
-
You are expected to stop at the end of the time allotted for the presentation, so that the schedule of presentations can proceed as planned.
-
For submissions with more than one author, one or more authors may deliver the presentation but still within the allotted time of 20 minutes.
-
There will be a 20-minute open forum after all presentations.
2. Creating your slide presentation
-
Make sure that you create your slides according to the 20-minute time allotment given to you. Generally, 20 slides is a good number for a 20-minute presentation.
-
You are encouraged to present a slide containing your name and the institution you are affiliated with. You may also indicate your current research projects and interests.
-
You may consider presenting a set of objectives or targets to keep your presentation focused. You may also present an outline of your presentation.
-
The following sequence of presentation is suggested:
-
Background
-
Research Questions
-
Data and Methodology
-
Conclusions and Recommendations
-
-
Present important points only and do not fill your slides with text. Following the 7 x 7 rule in slide presentations (Present around 7 words in 7 lines) can help you.
-
Use large fonts (around 28 pts or larger) to make sure that the audience will be able to see your texts clearly.
3. Sending your slide presentation
-
We will send another email with a Google Form link where you will upload your slides early next week, so we can save them on the computer assigned to your presentation venue. The Google Form will include your session titles and the scientific program will be out early next week.
-
Please upload your slides in the Google Form on or before 24 October 2023, Tuesday 7am.
-
Before your presentation at the conference, please go to your assigned presentation venue to check your file on the computer. Please note that ONLY the assigned venue computers will be used for the conference. Presenters will not be allowed to use other laptops or devices.
