Bio

Paul Reine Kennett L. Dela Rosa is an assistant professor at the Institute of Mathematics University of the Philippines Diliman. He earned his BS Math (magna cum laude) and MS Math degrees from UP Diliman. He obtained his PhD Math degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA. As a graduate student, he accomplished the following: he published several papers; he was awarded the Al Herr Teaching Assistant Excellence Award; and he also qualified as college finalist for the Outstanding Dissertation Award and Research Excellence Award (Pre-candidacy). Recently, he participated in the 10th Heidelberg Laureate Forum and he was declared the Second Prize winner of the NAST Talent Search for Young Scientists.

 

Dr. Dela Rosa’s research interests are Matrix Theory, Matrix Analysis, and Linear and Multilinear Algebra with focus on matrix decompositions, compressions of matrices, and numerical ranges and numerical radii.
