The University of the Philippines Alumni Awards granted ASP's very own Dr. Armand Mijares an award for his contribution to the advancement of science and technology. Dr. Mijares is the head of the Callao Cave Project where a new species of Homo was found. He is currently working in Bulacan and Cagayan Valley to build a deeper understanding of the human past.
