The Esports AcadArena, in collaboration with the UP Department of Linguistics, the UP Samahang Linggwistika (UP SALIN) and the UP Gaming Guild (UPGG), organized the Language and Gaming (LAG) Forum: Language Politics in Professional Esports Casting in the Philippines. I was invited to give a talk about internet language and how Filipinos continue to shape/ be shaped by the use of language online.
The event was spearheaded and facilitated by Dave "P3rcy" Badiola who was the 2019 EAA Summer Hearthstone Champ.
