The Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S) was created in 1999 as a not-for-profit organisation to serve a rapidly emerging materials science community in Singapore. The founding President of the Society was Prof Shih Choon Fong. The Society is affiliated with the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS).
We are reviving the Philippine Association of Physics Instructors thru a free Workshop on November 22, 2104 where the theme is entitled “The State of Physics Education in the Philippines” which represents PAPI’s vision of upgrading the quality of Physics Instruction and Physics Instructors at all levels. We would like to invite Physics Instructors to participate in the Workshop. Moreover, we are conducting a free Physics Laboratory Hands-on workshop in the afternoon. Below is the list of the tentative program where the venue is in DLSU-Manila, St. Joseph Building...
The technological advancements on laser and detector technologies paved way to the observation of ultrafast phenomena. These are in the pico- to femto-second timescales by which many chemical and physical processes take place. The technology has applications in imaging, spectroscopy and observation of ultrafast dynamics in life and environmental sciences.
The research poster, ``800 nm excitation of InAs-on-GaSb for terahertz emission" by C. P. Sadia et. al. was presented.
