The New Normal

It's been about 2 months since we have been placed under community quarantine (aka lockdown) due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and now people are trying to figure out how life is going to move on under the threat of this currently incurable disease.

At the moment we have adopted a work-from-home (WFH) scheme just so we can finish the remainder of Second Semester AY 2019-2020; however, it's a bit difficult for me to focus because there are SOOO many distractions at home... not to mention the need to focus more on staying alive and healthy during this ordeal. Between receiving news on how incompetent our government is in dealing with this whole crisis and the constant call for mass promotion (which is an idea that I can't really subscribe to), maintaining a good amount of sanity seems to be the most harrowing task I have to overcome on a daily basis.

It's a good thing that I can stay in touch with my colleagues/friends through FB Messenger. A good laugh  from a healthy dose of private jokes goes a long way in these trying times.

We're already sure that the social distancing protocol will remain effective even during the First Semester AY 2020-2021... which means I have to work on adopting a new online format for delivering my lectures and my exams. This should be interesting...
