Short Bio
- Associate Professor at UP School of Statistics; Has a PhD (Statistics) degree; currently the Director of UP Interactive Learning Center (ILC) Diliman
- Research interests are in computational statistics, high dimensional data, data visualization, data mining and business intelligence; also nonparametric modeling
- Recent publications and outputs are on statistical computing, high dimensional data analyses, customer lifetime valuation, data mining algorithms, impact assessment, and nonparametric methods
- Recent projects and consultancy activities include data analytics and business intelligence, model building and evaluation, customer and employee satisfaction studies, assessment and improvement on estimation processes; as well as statistical computing, survey operations and market research activities
- Conducts trainings and mentoring on basic, advance and applications of Statistics to different government agencies and industries
- Acts as adviser and panel member for master's and doctor's academic research works in Statistics and other related fields; also as reviewer for local and international publications
- Promotes use of education technologies and innovative strategies that enhance teaching and learning
