Political Science 160 (Society, Politics, and Government) is the basic course in political dynamics. It deals with the impact of society on politics and vice versa; political power and leadership; patterns of decision-making; and political modernisation, democratisation and development. Since this is the core course for Area II or Political Dynamics, basic knowledge of political science concepts is expected. Students are required to have finished at least Political Science 11 before taking this course, and, preferably but not required, Political Science 14 and 110.
